Not only are we a studio that offers classes and teams but we are a family.

RULES AND REGULATIONS –

 2016/2017

TUITION

Tuition runs on the season from August to May with the money due at the first of every month. Tuition remains the same each month regardless of the number of classes in a month as it averages to four weeks per month for the entire dance season. There are no refunds for missed classes or deductions for holidays. If you choose to discontinue class you must notify the studio by phone or email.

Checks should be made payable to Louisiana Twirling Association. All payments should be put in an envelope with your child’s name on it and class so you will get credit for it. There will be a $25.00 fee for any returned checks and a $15.00 late fee for any tuition payments due after the 15th of the month. All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Anyone more than two weeks late on their tuition payment will be asked to sit and watch their class until there balance is paid in full. 

REGISTRATION

There is a $25.00 registration fee per student or a $35.00 registration fee per family. There are no refunds for registration fees.

CLASSES

We have the right to cancel or change class times due to the enrollment. If your child has missed one month of class and tuition has not been paid, we reserve the right to give their spot away to another child on our waiting list. If you have any concerns or questions about your child's class during the year, please bring it to Mrs. Jullens’ attention via email or phone. Our classes run back to back so we need to do our best to start and end each class on time.

Please do not let your child run around the gym. All siblings and young students, not taking class, have to be supervised by their parents. When it is class time the instructor will come out and get all the students.

WAITING ROOM

If you choose to stay, please have the utmost respect for students and the staff and for all the hard work they do. If you have a question for the teacher or pay tuition please do not do it during class. There will be a payment box for which you can place your tuition envelopes. A receipt will be given to you at the next class. Any negative behavior or talk is unacceptable at the studios, parades, performances, and competitions. If this happens the student and parent will not be asked to return.

Please make sure to clean up after yourself and any smaller children that you have waiting during class.

SHOES

Baton – tan slip on jazz shoes/ black tennis shoes for marching in parades.

Team Members – tan slip on jazz shoes and tan cougar twirling shoes

Color Guard- tan slip on jazz shoes/black tennis shoes for marching in parades.

ATTIRE

Proper twirling attire is mandatory. T shirts are NOT proper attire!

Baton – dance leotard or tank studio shirt, shorts (no blue jean), jazz pants or jazz capris, jazz shoes

Team – team tank, jazz pants or capris, and jazz shoes

Color Guard- dance leotard or tank studio shirt, shorts (no blue jean), jazz pants or jazz capris, jazz shoes

Please do not wear anything baggy, jeans, or big sweat clothes. Also, do not wear jackets to class or any jewelry.

If your child is not dress properly for class, the teacher has the right to ask the child to sit out of class

BATONS

Batons can be purchased thru Mrs. Jullens at a cost of 40$.00. Each student must have their own baton. Team members need to have at least two batons. Color Guard members will need to purchase their own flag at a cost of $30.00. This is for the pole and a practice flag. Please put your child’s name on the end cap because Louisiana Twirl Force will not responsible for lost batons

HAIR

Twirling and color guard involves the head, loose hair is distracting to the student and teacher. It is a hazard to the class when hair is in the line of vision of twirlers and guard members.

Baton – hair in a bun or ponytail

Guard- hair in bun or ponytail

Team – must be in bun or ponytail. NO HAIR DOWN!!!! Also make sure hair is secured!

COSTUMES

Costumes are for the year end recital which is held in May. Each costume is APPROX $75.00 per costume per class including tights. If your child requires an adult XXL or XXXL please add $5.00 for each X that is added to L.

A costume deposit of $25.00 per class is due by October 15th. Costume deposits are non-refundable. The remaining balance will be due by November 19th. The balance is non-refundable.

When turning in your costume deposit, please put your child’s measurements with the payment.

Prices may differ for team costumes. All team members must have the warm-up suit, t-shirt, and team bag as well as team costume.

PARADES/PERFORMANCES

We encourage all of our students to participate in the parades and performances. There is a studio shirt that needs to be purchased from our studio to be able to participate. This shirt will be used for all parades and community performances. No additional tops will be rented for events. Each student will be required to have black jazz pants. We can order that for you or you may purchase on your own. No writing across the rear end or colored strips are allowed. They must be solid black.

Any negative behavior or talk is unacceptable at the studios, parades, performances, and competitions. If this happens the student and parent will not be asked to return.

FOOD & DRINKS

Food and gum are NOT allowed in the gym at any time.

Water and or Powerade only. No soft drinks.

If your child gets a treat from the teacher, please wait until your child is done classes to eat it.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

In the event of severe weather conditions, please call the Mrs. Jullens’ after 4:00 pm. Always check our Louisiana Twirl Force Facebook page prior to calling Mrs. Jullens.
